Soren and Thalen are part of an ongoing series of equine studies exploring quiet presence, abstraction and sculptural feeling. Each piece is individually hand-made using my mixed media process.
Displayed in pairs, the sculptures create a sense of dialogue and tension through balance, proportion and spatial relationship. Conceived as exploratory sculptural works, connected to the development of larger signature pieces. These studies embrace restraint, elongated form, and subtle variations in rhythm and presence.
